Programs such as Symantec/Norton Ghost and Altiris Deployment Solution create image files  copies of a computer's hard disk) that can be stored on a server and deployed to other computers with the same hardware configuration. These programs are used in classrooms to deploy an image from one student computer to other computers. Image files save a significant amount of installation time and ensure a consistent installation on all classroom computers.

 

You can add Vision to an image used for student computers; however, you should not add Vision to an image used for teacher computers. Whenever you deploy an image to a teacher computer, we strongly recommend you install Vision separately.
